Villa Fridheim
Experience one of Norway’s largest and best-preserved Swiss-style houses, built as a country house in 1892 by lumber merchant Svend Haug.
On Bjørøya, in the middle of the Krøderfjord, the villa is located like a Soria Moria castle with its 30-meter-high tower. At the last minute, the villa was saved from renovation in a fire drill in 1980. The Crow Castle was restored and is today a protected site and contains, among other things, a fairy tale museum.
In addition to the beautiful villa with its unique architecture, they preserve the intangible cultural heritage with a special focus on fairy tales and stories. Exhibitions, concerts and events help to emphasize their social mission and the adventurous experience you get when you visit Villa Fridheim.
